I love art! I especially love to paint. I have been recently wanting to make an online store on Etsy which is this website where you can make art and sell it or if someone wants it specialized you can do that too. This past summer I went to MICA ( Maryland Institute College Of Art) and took an art class at HCC (Howard Community College). I learned a lot of art techniques and learned how to make lots of cool things there. One of the techniques I learned was how to draw things that look realistic. Another thing I learned was how to draw a picture that Leonardo da Vinci would draw with oil pastels. I will have the pictures I talked about posted below and the rest of my art posted up in my gallery. I like to hear people’s point of views on abstract art (any type of art, really) and hear what they think is going on. Everybody has different views on different things. I love to turn boxes or recycled materials into different things and paint them. I always have ideas for things. If you love art and want to sell them, I highly recommend Etsy.com.
I have not posted anything in a long time. I am finally posting something new. On Friday I saw a movie called The Imitation Game. It was a great movie about how the British solved Enigma, a machine that put all the letters the Germans sent to their soldiers in code in World War 2. It is rated pg-13 so it is definitely for older more mature kids. When you hear that it is about World War 2 you might think it is this boring movie about history, but it is pretty interesting and not all like that. It is slow at some points but it gets back on track quickly. I would not recommend this movie to people who like funny, or fantasy movies. People who like dramas or don’t mind sad movies should watch this. Check out IMDB.com for more info about the movie and commonsensemedia.org to see how appropriate the movie is/age appropriate. Here are some movies I saw over winter break that I might review later:
• Big Eyes
• Night At The Museum: Secret Of The Tomb
• Into The Woods
I love movies! So, if you have any questions I will be sure to answer them and if any comments please leave them below!
Do you have friends that know different languages or come from different nationalities or cultures? I do and I think that is pretty cool. I have a friend that is Arabic and makes Arabic foods and sometimes I get to try them. It is neat getting to try food from another place in the world. I have a friend that is from Nigeria and one summer she visited Nigeria. I also have a friend that lives in France. I hope to visit her sometime. Sometimes I learn how to say different words from where they are from. I like that my friends aren’t all the same and I hope it stays that way.
